Chinese New Year Pop-Up!

It's the Year of the Monkey! Playful, clever and mischievous are a few of the traits of those born in this cycle of the Chinese Zodiac. 

To celebrate, chef Kim Dallas will be making a delicious Chinese dinner, with wines to match by Jeffrey.

We're calling it a Chinese Food and Wine Pairing Walk Around.  The event will be served in 5 rounds:

1.  Mu’er Liang Cai - Wood Ear Mushroom Salad

2.  Zhong Shui Jiao - Cresent Shaped Dumplings

3.  Suan La Tang - Hot and Sour Soup

4.  Ma Po Dou Fu -  Mother Chen’s pocked marked Tofu

5.  Hong Shao Rou - Red Braised Pork

Tickets are $40 per person and RSVPs are required. 
The event will be held in the Pairings Loft, across the street from shop.

Kim Dallas lived in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China for 8 years between 2005-2013 which was the UNESCO Gastronomy city in Asia.  She spent much of her time studying the famous cuisine of Sichuan and walking around the streets of Chengdu enjoying hot pot, noodles and loads of street snack.  She attended the Higher Institute of Cuisine to learn about homestyle dishes which are her favorite to eat.  Kim moved to Portland in 2013 mainly due to her love of food and wine.
