2017 Mylan Cabernet Franc Rose

Moody Tollbridge Vineyard - Columbia Valley AVA

24 Cases Produced

This beautiful Rose is made by one of the most gentle possible techniques: Saignée. Only 24 hours after the clusters of Cabernet Franc have begun to ferment, a small amount of the juice is removed from the tank and placed into a white wine barrel. This gentle “bleeding” of a normal red wine can create the most beautifully aromatic wines for both the Rose that was removed and by concentrating the remaining wine. By avoiding the press and only slightly stepping on the wine (pigeage au pied), the delicate lace of the wine is allowed to stay intact. Cabernet Franc makes exceptional Roses and this wine is no exception.

2017 Mylan Viognier

Moody Tollbridge Vineyard - Columbia Valley AVA

200 cases produced

My mother grew up in the Northern Rhone in the city of Valance not too far from the Condrieu. Bottles of Viognier from Condrieu was always present at weddings and family events as I grew up. It was always my dream to recreate this iconic wine here in the Columbia Valley from vineyards along the Columbia River. The similarities of our vineyard site and the Rhone are impressive. The site is farmed with minimal intervention and sprays. We are happy to produce a Viognier created with classic flavors of peaches, dried fruit and white flowers. The wines sits in neutral french white barrels for a 6 month elevage. The wine receives only two racking movements and batonnage once.

2016 Mylan Cabernet Franc

Moody Tollbridge Vineyard - Columbia Valley AVA

200 cases produced

I believe that Cabernet Franc from the bank of the Columbia River in wertern Washington/Oregon could be some of the most important vineyards in the Columbia Valley AVA. The vineyard site I chose sits directly where the Deschutes River meets the Columbia. 100% whole cluster and the most fine tannins, this wine is for everyone. Aromas of molasses and black olives fuse with flavors of currant, herbs de provence, and rich lamb stew. The wines sits in neutral french barrels (DAMY, SEGUIN MOREAU,TARASAUND) for a 12 month elevage. The wine received no racking movements and batonnage once during bottling.

2017 Mylan Red Blend

Mood Tollbridge Vineyard - Columbia Valley AVA

This proprietary blend comes from the deepest darkest part of my mind that loves creating wild and different flavors. Rules are often better broken and following “traditional” blending ideas can be mind numbing and boring. This wine is made to satisfy the part of my brain that is eternally a rebel, rule breaker, creative, and anti-establishment. Sometimes wine should be just simple: You like it? Great! Whats in it? You tell me.

2016 Mylan Pinot Noir

Oakridge Vineyard - Columbia Gorge AVA 44 cases produced

I believe that by including the lees and sediment, you are able to experience a fuller spectrum of the wine. This also acts as a natural preservative. The Pinot Noir is made from Biodynamically farmed 100% Pommard, has a beautiful violet-red color, and aromas of watermelon and juicy Asian pears. It is complex and delicate. The wines sits in neutral french barrels (DAMY, SEGUIN MOREAU,TARASAUND) for a 12 month elevage. The wine received no racking movements and batonnage once during bottling. All of our wines are made in a very light and delicate style, which requires minimal aging and are meant to be enjoyed young.
